Azerbaijan was represented at the fourth meeting of the heads of ministries and agencies responsible for the development of information and communication technologies in the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Karamay (China), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told APA.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport Bakhtiyar Mammadov informed the participants in detail about new initiatives and projects implemented in the field of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan. He once again emphasized Azerbaijan’s readiness for future cooperation with the SCO member states and noted that the organization’s activities towards regional development are highly appreciated.
During the visit, the representative of the ministry visited a number of Huawei’s advanced technological facilities – the Intelligent Transport Systems Centre and the Green Cloud Data Centre. During the visit to these facilities, he had an opportunity to familiarize himself with innovative technologies used in the field of smart transport and sustainable digital infrastructure.
Bakhtiyar Mammadov met with Huawei Vice President Ms. Angela Lin and other senior executives. The meeting discussed opportunities for future co-operation in digital infrastructure, smart transport systems and green technologies.
