Azerbaijan discusses establishment of Cybersecurity Operation Centers with Israeli company

Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), paid a working visit to Israel and held a series of meetings, APA reports, citing IDDA.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of "Mobileye," one of the global leaders in autonomous management and artificial intelligence technologies. The discussion covered "Mobileye's" strategic development model, research activities, and public-private sector collaboration experience. Opportunities for collaboration aligned with Azerbaijan's digital transformation and innovation agenda were also extensively discussed. It was emphasized that such partnerships are crucial for the transfer of advanced technologies to the country, development of the innovation ecosystem, and acceleration of digital reforms.

The delegation later met with the leadership of "OurCrowd," one of Israel's leading venture funds. During the meeting, detailed information about Azerbaijan's startup ecosystem, government mechanisms for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, venture financing infrastructure, and active investment funds was provided. The parties evaluated opportunities for joint investment projects, transferring advanced technologies to Azerbaijan, and exchanging experiences and knowledge among startups. The Azerbaijani representatives emphasized the strategic importance of familiarizing themselves with Israel’s developed innovation environment and strengthening cooperation in this field.

Additionally, a meeting was held with the leadership of "Checkpoint," one of the global leaders in cybersecurity. During the meeting, the establishment of Cybersecurity Operation Centers in Azerbaijan, the creation of a cybersecurity academy, and the application of "Checkpoint's" advanced technological solutions were widely discussed. Expanding the company's activities in Azerbaijan and deepening cooperation through local partnerships were also key topics of discussion.
