“We are conducting forecasts in the field of wind and solar energy using big data,” Head of the Hydrogen and Green Technology Department, Deputy Director at the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) Rana Humbatova said during her speech on the 5th day of the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW), APA-Economics reports.
She noted that this is done to forecast both demand and supply. “We have large data in this regard, and artificial intelligence processes this data."
“At the same time, we, as a ministry, are working on the first National Mobility Strategy. Another area is decentralization. We are installing new solar panels on buildings, enabling active consumers to transition to these panels. Each consumer can produce 1,000 kilowatts of energy,” she said.
