“It is always a great pleasure to be in Baku and to participate in this forum. This Forum is already regarded as a very traditional and important meeting. Despite the tensions and challenges we face both in the region and globally, I would like to sincerely thank the organizers for the warm reception and the excellent organization of this event. Even in such difficult times, this Forum remains an important platform for dialogue and cooperation, and we highly appreciate this. I would like to express my solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan and my full support for the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev and all institutions of Azerbaijan to promote peace and stability for their citizens as well as for the region, and to strengthen regional stability through dialogue and cooperation,” Željka Cvijanović emphasized.
She stated that dialogue is the key issue needed by every civilized political community, as well as every region and the world: “To meaningfully address internal and global divisions, it is important to understand the underlying causes behind them. Equally important is the willingness to listen to one another and to recognize different perspectives. At this Forum, we also demonstrate that our differences, regardless of their nature, should not turn into conflict. Thank you for the opportunity to speak and to listen to others. I am also grateful to President Ilham Aliyev for sharing his perspectives each time and presenting Azerbaijan’s achievements.”
