A panel discussion titled "Path to Peace" was held within the framework of the XII Global Baku Forum, APA reports.

Russia's Invasion of Ukraine and the Issue of Neutrality

During the panel discussion, the Chairwoman of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation, Katerina Yushchenko, stated that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not related to NATO.

She emphasized that Ukraine is a neutral country.

According to Katerina Yushchenko, Russian troops and Russia's economy have already weakened.

"One's destruction will be the destruction of all of us. We will not be Vietnam or Afghanistan. Winning this war will not stop Putin," she noted.

Croatia's Position: Paths to Peace in Ukraine

Croatia's former President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović stated in the discussions that Ukrainians want peace more than anyone else: "Trump is making efforts to stop the war. War is both a material and moral loss. There are many issues waiting to be resolved at the table. The European Union aims not only to achieve a ceasefire but to establish long-term peace."

Montenegro's former President Milo Đukanović, in his speech, mentioned that people are increasingly viewing democracy with doubt.

Solutions to the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Ismail Serageldin, Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, stated in his speech that the "Two-State Solution" has been chosen for the Palestinian-Israeli issue.

"Relocating Palestinians from Gaza means ethnic cleansing, and I regret this," he said.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert opposed the deportation of Palestinians from Gaza.

HAMAS and its Role in the Region

According to Tsipi Livni, the former Israeli Foreign Minister, most world leaders now understand that HAMAS should not remain in power. She stated, "If HAMAS stays in power, gets support, and receives funding, it will become stronger again."

"The money that should be allocated for the people will again be directed towards militarization. Both Palestinians and Israelis will suffer from this. War will start again. The jihadist ideology does not reflect the interests of the Palestinian people, and this ideology must be consigned to history."

UN Resolutions and Their Implementation

Bülent Arınç, the former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, emphasized that Armenia must agree to peace now: "The UN has resolutions regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict, but none of these resolutions have been implemented.

The resolutions related to Armenia's occupation of Garabagh have also not been implemented. Let's remember the occupation of Garabagh and the Khojaly massacre. At that time, world countries considered their job done by merely creating the Minsk Group. Azerbaijan liberated its lands, and now Armenia must agree to peace."

The panel discussion concluded with discussions.
