Hans Kluge, Regional Director WHO Regional Office for Europe has conveyes his condolonces regarding the plane crash in Aktau city, he has posted in this regard on his X account, APA reports.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic Azerbaijani Airlines plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, which has claimed the lives of so many and caused injuries to others, including citizens of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Krygzstan, Russia.
On behalf of WHO Regional Office for Europe, I express my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this devastating incident. Our thoughts are with the survivors, wishing them strength and a swift recovery," he noted.
Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
