White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt shared an interview with the Washington Examiner by Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United States Khazar Ibrahim on her “X” account, APA reports.
In the interview titled “Azerbaijani Ambassador Evaluates Trump as a ‘True Peacemaker’ After Historic Agreement Between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Khazar Ibrahim emphasized the importance of the Trump Administration’s role in initialing a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to the diplomat, since the beginning of Trump’s second term, Baku has been confident that the US leader will achieve positive progress in the Caucasus.
It should be noted that on August 8 in Washington, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan initialed a peace agreement between the two countries in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
