Western Azerbaijan Community President calls on US to send mission to Armenia

After Azerbaijan solved a problem that the world’s giants like the USA, Russia, and France, as well as the largest international organizations, could not resolve for over 30 years in just 44 days, the masks of many were torn off and their true faces were revealed, said the chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Aziz Alakbarli, during a session of the National Assembly held today, APA reports.

The community chairman said that it became clear that the cause of this conflict, which resulted in the suffering of millions of people from both Armenia and Azerbaijan, the deaths and disabilities of tens of thousands of people, was caused by the same countries, organizations, and their local agents that did not want it to end for over 30 years, and who are now trying to turn the region into a battlefield again: "Until yesterday, those who were doing this politically, after the 44-day war, are now doing it openly. The imperialist-minded countries, politicians, and organizations of the West, including the USA, who for 30 years acted as if Azerbaijan's territories had not been occupied by Armenia, as if one million Azerbaijanis had not been expelled from their homes, as if hundreds of our villages and cities occupied by Armenia had not been wiped off the face of the earth, as if thousands of our historical and cultural monuments had not been destroyed by the Armenians, are shamelessly rising up and accusing Azerbaijan, trying to present Armenia as a peace dove. Those who made Armenia a tool for their imperialist interests, who have humiliated the Armenian people and crippled the Armenian mentality, must understand once and for all that the people of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani state have had enough of the games they play in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. We saw who is who in 30 years."

The community chairman also mentioned that the USA’s Commission on International Religious Freedom, which recently raised the demand to send international observers to Azerbaijan regarding the situation of cultural and religious heritage, should be reminded that such a mission should be sent to present-day Armenia, where Azerbaijanis and Muslims have been expelled from their ancestral lands in Western Azerbaijan solely because of their ethnic and religious identity, instead of to Azerbaijan, which is an example of religious tolerance to the world. "This organization, hiding behind the guise of 'Religious Freedom,' should also report on the nearly 300 Muslim mosques destroyed and more than 500 Muslim cemeteries wiped out in present-day Armenia over the past 35 years."
