“We express our gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for hosting this magnificent event for the 13th time. The participation and support of President Ilham Aliyev have been extremely important for the development and growth of the Center. I remember that years ago, when we started this initiative, the President invited a group of people who attended an event dedicated to the memory of Nizami Ganjavi to organize such meetings to be held every year. At that time, he said that he would be pleased to see Azerbaijan host larger-scale events. Although that first event was successful and interesting, it was more limited in scale compared to today’s forum. Today, ladies and gentlemen, you have come here from different parts of the world. I thank you for being here during these difficult and dangerous times,” Vaira Vike-Freiberga noted.
