The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan has ratified the alliance agreement with Azerbaijan, the decision was made during the body’s meeting today, APA reports citing the Senate's official website.
The document was signed on August 23, 2024, in Tashkent between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The ratification of the agreement is expected to strengthen mutual trust between the two countries, as well as bolster their friendship and strategic partnership relations. It will also create favorable conditions for the expansion of political and economic ties.
In addition, the agreement is anticipated to enhance direct connections between the regions of the two countries and expand cooperation in logistics, energy, industry, education, and tourism.
