The integration of the Turkic world corresponds to the fundamental and long-term strategic interests of our peoples, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Turkistan reports.
“The city of Turkistan is considered an important trade and cultural center of the Great Silk Road. Our great ancestor Khoja Ahmed Yasawi lived on this land. This sacred place is a bright symbol of the unity and solidarity of our peoples. Today’s meeting is taking place at a time when various contradictions are intensifying around the world. The crisis of confidence in international relations is deepening, while the role and influence of global institutions are weakening. This situation requires us to develop common positions on important issues. In this regard, the integration of the Turkic world corresponds to the fundamental and long-term strategic interests of our peoples.
The Organization of Turkic States has demonstrated sustainable development in recent years. For example, in 2025, the total economic potential of our states exceeded $2.4 trillion. The growth rate of this indicator is twice as high as the global average. This year, the Turkic Investment Fund began operations. The Turkic Finance Council on ‘green’ financing has been established among central banks. All of this clearly shows that our organization is becoming institutionally stronger. Important tasks lie ahead of us to further develop our mutual relations,” the Uzbek President emphasized.
