The international community must come together to solve the landmine problem and identify ways to reduce the number of mine victims as much as possible, Lakshmi Partasarathi, a traveler from the United States who traveled to Garabagh, said, APA reports.
She noted that Azerbaijan is on the right track by directing the attention of the international community to the mine problem in the territories freed from occupation.
"I have been to many countries suffering from mine problems. The international community must unite to solve this problem," she underlined.
Speaking about her trip, the traveler emphasized that the trip was memorable: "It's been a fascinating few days. I have never been to Azerbaijan before, your country is very beautiful, and the people here are very hospitable. I would like to visit Azerbaijan again and stay here longer. It's a big country with a lot to do. I didn't know much about Azerbaijan before my trip, I just read some information. I am very excited to explore the country and learn."
