"We strongly support peace efforts of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which have been developed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev," said Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien while answering questions during hearings about "Future of Europe" in Regional and Security Cooperation Subcommittee of Foreign Relations Committee of Senate, APA reports.
"Russia tries to be sure that peace does not happen. Russia tries to make everything that happens there happen under its conditions. I think both countries are slightly disappointed about the participation," stressed O'Brien.
