The peace agreement mediated by President Trump between Armenia and Azerbaijan presents a transformative opportunity for the entire South Caucasus, the US State Department said in a comment to the Imedi television channel, APA’s local bureau reports.
It was noted that Georgia could both contribute to and greatly benefit from the stability and prosperity made possible by this agreement.
The State Department emphasized that the United States looks forward to building constructive relations with Georgia.
“We will continue engaging with the Government of Georgia on issues affecting our bilateral relationship and the political environment in Georgia,” the statement said.
