The United States and Azerbaijan have been partners for over 30 years, said the new US Deputy Chief of Mission Amy Carlon, APA reports.
She said that the two countries have worked together in counterterrorism, developed energy security, and created prosperity for both nations.
"It is an honor for me to be here at a truly historic moment for the United States and Azerbaijan. The launch of the peace agreement initiative at the White House on August 8 marked the beginning of a bold new chapter for the South Caucasus region," the diplomat noted.
Amy Carlon emphasized that the United States is committed to helping build lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia: “By strengthening this path to peace, we unlock the South Caucasus’s great potential as a center for trade, transit, and energy. This also lays the foundation for our future economic cooperation.”
