UN Under-Secretary-General: Azerbaijan establishing meaningful bridges with its neighbors and the world

"Clean water is a matter of utmost importance for many countries. We will work in this direction with the COP29 Presidency," Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme Inger Andersen said at a joint briefing with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev, APA reports.

"Undoubtedly, necessary steps will be taken for the contribution of other countries to this joint process," she added.

She stated that Azerbaijan is working on the direction of recycling and reuse of waste.

"We, in our turn, will support them. At the same time, üe have discussed the issue of the decrease in the Caspian Sea level. I also said that Azerbaijan is doing various work in the direction of preserving biodiversity. I think our cooperation with Azerbaijan will continue in all these directions," she added.

Ms. Anderson also mentioned that Azerbaijan is establishing meaningful bridges with its neighbors and the world.
