Azerbaijan is an important climate partner of the UN, the UN Secretary-General's spokesman Stéphane Dujarric told APA's correspondent dispatched to the US.
He also expressed expectations regarding the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
"We hope that the 80th session of the General Assembly will be very successful - all countries of the world come together and take an important step towards solving global problems. At the same time, we are pleased to see the President of Azerbaijan here. Azerbaijan is an important partner of the UN., It hosted the UN climate change conference. We hope to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan," Stephane Dujarric emphasized.
