UN-Habitat invites global housing solutions for WUF13 in Baku

On June 19, the official website of UN-Habitat published an article titled “Call for housing solutions for WUF13,” APA reports.

The article states that UN-Habitat is inviting submissions of practical, proven and impactful housing solutions to be featured at the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan.

It is emphasized that this call is open to all stakeholders, including national, regional and local governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector. Those who wish to participate can submit their proposals until August 31, 2025.

Selected practices may be featured at the WUF13 Practices Hub in Baku and in key UN-Habitat publications and platforms, including the World Cities Report 2026, Regional State of Cities Reports, and the Housing Knowledge Platform.

Note that during WUF13, a new platform – the World Urban Forum Practices Hub – will be launched to highlight effective approaches promoting adequate housing.

Considering that Azerbaijan is carrying out complex reconstruction works in the liberated territories in accordance with advanced urban planning standards and in accordance with the post-conflict period, which are unprecedented in terms of scale, quality and speed on a global scale, the promotion of these practices through the aforementioned additional platform and publications may be beneficial.
