The Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan has condemned drone attacks by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, APA reports, citing the embassy.
The diplomatic mission is closely monitoring information about Iranian UAV attacks on the territory of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Ukrainian embassy expressed support and solidarity with Azerbaijan: “We call on everyone to unite to strengthen the fight against regimes that undermine global security and the future of our peoples.”
The statement recalled that Iranian drones have long turned into instruments of terror, emphasizing that these weapons have been used by the Iranian regime to strike Ukrainian cities, civilian infrastructure, and the peaceful population.
The statement also cited remarks by Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s foreign minister, who said: “The Iranian regime has terrorized the region for decades, supporting and financing terrorist groups that bring instability to other countries.”
“Ukraine knows very well the danger posed by regimes that show contempt for international law, dignity, and human life,” the statement said.
