“I witnessed very significant development and progress in the liberated territories," Yuriy Husyev, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told APA’s correspondent dispatched to Karabakh.
“We see great development in the region and wish the region success. This area is an important region in terms of the development of transport corridors and green energy projects. We see how rapidly this region is flourishing,” the ambassador noted.
According to him, Ukraine is closely following and learning from the experience of reconstruction, green energy, and other development projects implemented in Karabakh.
“We are already restoring the territories liberated from occupation in the Kyiv region. Azerbaijan provides us with great support. We are especially grateful for Azerbaijan’s assistance in the restoration of the city of Irpin, which was occupied in 2022. In the near future, we expect to launch new social projects in Irpin together with Azerbaijan,” the ambassador said.
Husyev noted that relations between the two countries have entered a new stage.
“I think that the historic visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Azerbaijan has opened a new page in cooperation between our countries. We have a strategic partnership. During the President’s visit, six bilateral documents were signed. We have received many instructions from the heads of state regarding deepening cooperation and developing joint projects,” he stressed.
