"The two Iranian drone strikes this morning in Nakhchivan are completely unacceptable," said British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld in a post on the X platform, APA reports.
"The UK firmly condemns any actions that threaten Azerbaijan’s security. We stand in solidarity with Azerbaijan and those affected at this difficult moment. We are following developments closely,” the ambassador noted.
Note that drone attacks were carried out today from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
One drone fell on the terminal building of Nakhchivan Airport, while another landed near a school building in Shakarabad village.
The airport building sustained damage, and four people were injured.
