Turkmenistan MFA: C6 is a mechanism that strengthens trust

Azerbaijan’s accession to the Consultative Meetings of Central Asian Leaders has opened a new stage in the history of regional cooperation, said Shiri Shiriev, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during his speech at the international conference titled “C6: One Region, Shared Future – Strengthening Strategic Dialogue,” organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations, APA reports.

According to him, C6 is not only a platform for dialogue, but also a living mechanism that enables the search for common solutions amid global instability, the establishment of sustainable economic ties based on mutual benefit, as well as the strengthening of trust through humanitarian cooperation and exchange of experience:

“Today’s conference is relevant due to several important factors. First of all, the dynamics of regional processes such as Trans-Caspian corridors, energy issues, and environmental challenges require coordinated and systematic action. Secondly, amid the complexity of the global agenda and geopolitical instability, C6 can evolve into a model of strategic autonomy based on the principles of mutual respect. Finally, the need for institutionalization is of particular importance. Issues related to formal institutions, expert networks, and coordination mechanisms are not merely topics for theoretical discussion; their resolution constitutes real and practical matters that directly affect the future of the region.”
