“We are benefiting from Azerbaijan’s experience in successfully hosting COP29 during our presidency of COP31,” Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said at the Baku meeting of prime ministers and vice presidents of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
He noted that Türkiye is determined to play a leading role globally in combating climate change: “The active participation of OTS member states and their observers in the COP31 process will create a solid foundation for expanding cooperation and achieving tangible results within the framework of our COP31 agenda on combating climate change.”
Cevdet Yilmaz invited the OTS member states to the COP31 event to be held in Antalya on November 9–20.
