The next meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee Chairs of the Parliaments of the Turkic States will be held in Türkiye, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties Samad Seyidov said at a joint press conference following the meeting of Foreign Affairs Committee Chairs of the Parliaments of the Turkic States, APA reports.
"Today we are experiencing a very important event. The idea voiced by President Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with Fuat Oktay a while ago is being realized. They noted that it is important for the parliaments of Turkic-speaking countries to come together. Today, the phenomenon of the Turkic world has begun to seriously affect the world politics. Holding of meeting such as this is important. It is no coincidence that President Ilham Aliyev said we have a family at his swearing-in ceremony. The first meeting we held today is only bringing the initial ideas up to the agenda in some form," he stated.
