“We must develop cooperation in the fields of media and communication in the Turkic world,” Deputy Head of the Directorate of Communications of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Ferhat Pirinççi stated in a comment to journalists on the sidelines of the panel session titled “Turkic World Dialogues: Common Future, Common Vision,” APA reports.
He noted that within this framework, various panels and events were held in Kazakhstan last week and in Baku today:
“In the coming weeks, various panels and events will also be held in other member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. Through these events, we are beginning to form a stronger foundation of ideas for the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States and to develop and strengthen dialogue.”
Ferhat Pirinççi said that the event held in Baku attracted great interest.
“There was very great interest in Azerbaijan from academic circles, the media, journalists, and especially distinguished members of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. Our panelists touched upon very important points in their speeches,” he emphasized.
According to him, Azerbaijan shows great interest in the Organization of Turkic States and the idea of the Turkic world:
“Today in Baku, we once again saw that Azerbaijan, with its Milli Majlis, media, citizens, and academic circles, is very inclined toward, interested in, and attentive to the Organization of Turkic States and the idea of the Turkic world. They are making the necessary efforts at every level to develop these relations.”
Ferhat Pirinççi noted that yesterday he also met with Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
“Along with relations between the two countries, we discussed how cooperation in the media field in the Turkic world could be developed. We saw that he also shares the same views with us on developing cooperation in the Turkic world, cooperation in the field of communication, and cooperation in the fields of media and combating disinformation,” he said.
