"The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is no longer just a cultural alliance. It is a strategic platform for solidarity. Global tensions affect everyone and deeply concern the countries that are members of the Organization of Turkic States," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told journalists upon his return from the OTS summit in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"Considering our proximity to conflict zones, it can be said with certainty that our family council suffers more from this tension compared to other countries in the world. Therefore, precautionary measures are inevitable where there is risk. Nevertheless, we are ready for any situation."
We discuss multifaceted cooperation ranging from intelligence and border security to cyberspace. There is a global tendency to increase defense spending and take additional steps related to security. As members of the Organization of Turkic States, we are taking steps in this direction. The next steps are evaluated from every aspect and taken when necessary,” Erdoğan noted.
