“Armenia is currently demonstrating a different position,” Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, told journalists in Baku, APA reports.

“Armenia now says it wants to live within its borders and in peace with its neighbors,” Fuat Oktay said.

He also spoke about the events that took place in Khojaly 34 years ago.

“If we forget the Khojaly genocide, we may experience its recurrence. For many years, those who committed massacres against Turks created global uproar by claiming that ‘Turks committed massacres,’ and various parliaments around the world adopted resolutions on this matter. This is not something we can accept. Unfortunately, some countries, led by France, brought this issue to the forefront. Many Western countries have done so. We want to put an end to the shows that have continued for years through the Armenian diaspora in Europe and America, as well as Armenians living in Armenia. We want development, progress, and to live in peace with our neighbors. Our neighbors say the same,” Fuat Oktay noted.
