The Turkish Martyrs' Memorial in Baku was visited on the occasion of Türkiye's August 30 Victory Day, APA reports.
The event was attended by Birol Akgün, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, representatives of the embassy, and a number of officials.
First, a wreath was laid in front of the Turkish Martyrs' Monument. Then, the National Anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye were played.
Ambassador Birol Akgün delivered a speech in front of the monument.
He commemorated the martyrs of Azerbaijan and Türkiye with mercy and expressed his respect before their souls.
Birol Akgün emphasized that the brotherly relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
Afterwards, the Turkish Martyrs' Memorial and the Alley of Martyrs were visited, a wreath was laid in front of the monument, and carnations were placed.
Note that the victory won on August 30, 1922, in Dumlupınar under the command of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is celebrated as Victory Day in Türkiye.
