“The tradition of brotherly countries gifting mosques to one another is in line with the customs of our ancestors,” said Birol Akgün, Ambassador of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, during a briefing dedicated to the groundbreaking ceremony of the mosque in Fuzuli, a gift from Turkmenistan to the people of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The ambassador described the gathering of leaders within the framework of the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala as a proud moment and called Turkmenistan’s gift one of the most beautiful gifts that one brotherly nation can present to another.
