There are a number of countries that do not want the unification and alliance of the Turkic world, said Damla Tashkin, a lecturer at Ankara Bilim University, at an event in Baku on the topic "Threats and opportunities created by new geopolitical realities for Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations," APA reports.
According to her, the intensified meetings between the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are of great importance not only for our countries but also for the progress of the region: “The two leaders who meet the most among world political leaders are the presidents of Türkiye and Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ilham Aliyev. These meetings are very important for both the development of the region and the relations between the two countries. These meetings further develop our country's proactive policy. Naturally, there are many countries that do not want the unification of the Turkic World. However, the sound unity among the leaders frustrates such attempts. Amid events shaking the foundations of the world, the fact that the heads of state of both countries gave messages of unity at the opening of the Lachin airport is very important in the context of all geopolitical threats.”
