“Signing a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the near future is a real issue, all elements are on the table. This is a matter of political will on making important compromises,” said Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia in his statement to APA.
According to him, the time has come to sign a peace treaty by reaching compromises:
“The peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia of course, will be signed between two countries and any mediator (partner) outside can simply support this matter. This is what we are trying to do. I agree that this matter is between two sides, however, I also believe that the outside partners can be supportive sides.”
