“New agreements signed between Georgia and Azerbaijan in various fields should only be welcomed," Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said in a statement to journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that as an ordinary citizen of Georgia and as the mayor of the capital, he highly welcomes the deepening of the existing relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan is not only our neighboring country, but also our strategic partner. We have had very close and friendly relations for years. I am very pleased with the signing of agreements in the energy and railway sectors. For the first time in several years, it will be possible to connect Georgia and Azerbaijan by railway. This is very good,” Kaladze added.
