Tanzanian representative: Azerbaijan is role model for the world in climate change fight

"Azerbaijan is a role model for world countries in tackling climate change," Yizukanji Yoradi Sikombe, Tanzanian representative and Chief Executive Officer at Africa Child Foundation Mission of Tanzania, told APA.

Speaking about the significance of today’s event, he emphasized that it will promote more effective cooperation among NGOs:

"Today, climate change is an extremely important global issue. Imagine a country facing climate change problems with no resources to combat it. In such countries, civil societies can play a crucial role in addressing this issue. I believe that this forum held in Azerbaijan will encourage more efficient cooperation among NGOs. Azerbaijan is a role model for the world in combating climate change. In this context, I want to highlight Azerbaijan’s efforts in reforestation. We know that a significant number of trees have been planted in your country in recent times. I believe that there are many more contributions Azerbaijan can make to the global fight against climate change."
