“Every time I visit Karabakh, I witness new changes in the region," Ilhom Abdurahmon, Tajik Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said in a statement to APA’s correspondent dispatched to Karabakh.
“Every time I come to Karabakh — to Shusha, Lachin, Zangilan, Khankendi — I see new facilities, new interesting places, new hotels. Infrastructure is developing rapidly. This shows that the Azerbaijani government pays special attention to the development of the region. The interest of guests and tourists in the region is also steadily increasing.”
The Tajik diplomat also expressed his gratitude to the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“I express my gratitude to the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for creating the opportunity for us to visit this region precisely during the spring season. Seeing the region’s unique nature in person made a very pleasant impression.”
The ambassador added that he received very positive impressions from the visit and would like to come to Karabakh again with his family:
“We were here together with my wife. We would like to come to this region again as a family. We especially liked Shusha. As for me, one of the cities I liked most is Zangilan. The architecture built here based on new technologies is very unique. Good specialists have been involved, and the region has been rebuilt.”
In conclusion, the diplomat wished peace and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan and the Karabakh region:
“I wish prosperity to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan and to this region. May there always be peace here, and may people gain only pleasant impressions from these places.”
