"Tackling Islamophobia requires comprehensive solutions," Director General of the European Academy for Development and Research from Belgium Brahim Laytouss said as he delivered a speech during the panel discussion on "Similarities and differences in the treatment of Muslims in Western Europe, basic human rights of the Muslim community" whithin the framework of the Baku-hosted international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.
He stated that Muslims living in Europe are citizens of countries in this region and they have responsibilities and obligations: "If we want to make changes in our communities and eliminate misconceptions about us, we must come up with concrete solutions, alternatives, and renew the Islamic discourse."
