The Russian Federation considers the OSCE's decision to terminate the activities of the Minsk Group on the Karabakh conflict to be justified, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing held within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, APA reports, citing TASS.
According to her, Moscow, along with other OSCE members, participated in the adoption of this decision, which was made by consensus: "We believe that this step is justified and fair against the background of the radical change in the situation in the region."
Zakharova added that the initiative to suspend the activities of the Minsk institutions belonged to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Recall that on September 1, a decision was made to close the OSCE Minsk Process and related structures.
