U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammi Bruce has commented on Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statement expressing hope for the imminent signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Bruce stated the U.S. has been involved in resolving some of the issues.
“It was important for the Secretary of State to make this statement. We are pleased with the many agreements, ceasefires, and changes we have been part of. The Secretary had grounds to say this, and when we have more detailed information, we will share it with you,” she emphasized.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he hoped a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia would be signed soon.
