Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament meets with Italian and Serbian Parliaments` observation mission members

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with the members of the observation mission of the Italian Parliament and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, APA reports.

Emphasizing the crucial importance of the election for the country, the Speaker noted that it was held for the first time across the entire sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, including the liberated lands.

Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the establishment of 26 polling stations in the liberated territories to facilitate favorable conditions for voters to exercise their voting rights freely. She emphasized that all conditions were created for the presidential election to be held excellently across the country and for voters to come to the polling stations and express their will freely. The Speaker mentioned the deployment of 90,000 observers to oversee the voting process.

Member of the Italian Parliament Andrea Di Giuseppe and Deputy Speaker of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Sandra Božić congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the successful completion of the election. They stated that the president election in Azerbaijan held in accordance with legislation and international standards.

The meeting also discussed interparliamentary cooperation, the activities of friendship groups in boosting relations, as well as the opportunities to enhance cooperation between the committees of the legislative bodies.
