Speaker: Azerbaijan-Serbia relations are of great importance

The elevation of relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia to the level of strategic partnership is gratifying, said the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, during a joint press briefing with the Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, Ana Brnabić, in Baku, APA reports.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova noted that the mutual visits of the heads of state of both countries play a special role in the development of bilateral and multilateral relations.

“Azerbaijan-Serbia relations are of great importance,” she emphasized.

The speaker of the Milli Majlis noted that today interparliamentary relations are observed to be at a very high level.

According to the Speaker, mutual visits of the parliamentary speakers and various delegations during the past period have enhanced the relations: “Our delegations are always in contact and support each other on all matters. Cooperation between our parliamentary committees and exchange of experience in the field of legislation can be carried out.”

The Speaker believes that this visit will contribute to the further expansion of relations between the parliaments.
