A delegation led by Maroš Žilinka, Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic, is on a visit to Azerbaijan, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
On September 19, the delegation visited the Alley of Honor to pay tribute at the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and also visited the Alley of Martyrs.
Later, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, held a meeting with the delegation led by Maroš Žilinka.
In the meeting, the Prosecutor General emphasized that the high-level relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia are characterized by strategic partnership, highlighted the importance of the friendly and mutually cooperative ties that unite our countries and peoples established by the heads of state, acknowledged the contributions of Slovak companies to the restoration works in Karabakh, and stressed the necessity of strengthening professional relations between the prosecutorial bodies against the backdrop of expanding cooperation in trade, technology, and industry.
At the end, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Slovak Republic.
The guests also visited the History Museum of the Prosecutor General’s Office, where they were given detailed information about the exhibits related to the activities of the prosecutorial body.
