On May 15, Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši visited the city of Khankendi together with the delegation he led, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts told APA.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation closely familiarized itself with the large-scale construction, restoration, and reconstruction works being carried out in the city of Khankendi.
The guests were informed about the infrastructure projects being implemented in the city, the renovation of residential quarters, the restoration of social facilities, and the work carried out based on the city’s modern development concept.
The delegation also visited Victory Park, one of the notable places of the city. There, the guests were informed about the significance of the park as a symbol of Azerbaijan’s historic Victory. Afterwards, the delegation visited Karabakh University and became acquainted with the modern educational infrastructure created there, including auditoriums, the library and laboratories. During the meeting held with the university’s rector Shahin Bayramov, the guests received information about the activities of the higher education institution, opportunities for international cooperation, and the work carried out in the direction of training highly qualified personnel in the region. During the meeting, the contribution of the restoration and development processes carried out in the Karabakh region to the field of education was particularly emphasized.
