The Secretary-General of the Global South NGO Platform (GSNP) has been elected, APA reports.
Fuad Karimli will lead the organization for a five-year term.
Uzbekistan’s representative Bobur Bekmurodov was elected Deputy Secretary-General for the Asia region, Ecuador’s representative Luis Gallegos was elected Deputy Secretary-General for the Latin America region, Kenya’s representative Mithika Mwenda was elected Deputy Secretary-General for the Africa region, and the Philippines’ representative Cecile Guidote-Alvarez was elected Deputy Secretary-General for the Pacific region.
Fuad Karimli previously worked at the GSNP Secretariat.
