The Secretariat has been instructed to celebrate the Novruz holiday within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), APA reports.
This is stated in the Declaration signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
“By expressing the trans-cultural significance of Novruz, which serves as a bridge between cultures and a symbol of universal values the determination to pass on the profound richness of Turkic culture and the shared values of Turkic peoples to future generations is once again emphasized, based on the initiative of Azerbaijan, the member states of the OTS, and the President of Türkiye the Secretariat is instructed to organize the celebration of Novruz within the Organization,” the document states.
