The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry (MFA), Maria Zakharova, spoke about the ways to normalize relations with Azerbaijan, APA reports, citing Lenta.ru.
Zakharova said that one of the steps taken towards normalizing relations between Russia and Azerbaijan could be the release of Russian journalists.
She stressed that they hope that relations will normalize soon.
The MFA official recalled that the Azerbaijani ambassador was summoned to the MFA, and a note of protest was presented to him.
"We have asked for the immediate release of our journalists," she added.
Zakharova also noted that relations between Moscow and Baku are currently going through a difficult period.
