Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia commented on Armenia's violation of the ceasefire in the direction of Nakhchivan on the day of Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Baku, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA, stated about this in her briefing today, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
She noted that the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan discussed the issue of reconciliation between Baku and Yerevan in detail.
“The presidents discussed this issue at a joint press conference in detail. All our efforts on this track meet the spirit of our strategic relations with Baku and Yerevan. As for the possible escalation of tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, we call on Yerevan and Baku to regularly exercise restraint, refrain from steps that will aggravate the situation, and resolve all controversial issues peacefully, politically and diplomatically without exception."
