Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone conversation, APA's Moscow correspondent reports citing the Kremlin press service.
During the phone call, the escalating situation in Syria was discussed.
Additionally, they exchanged views on current issues regarding the development of cooperation between Russia and Iran. An agreement was reached on future contacts.
The Kremlin stated that the phone conversation took place at the initiative of the Iranian side.
