Russia welcomes the Almaty meeting to be held on May 10th between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA, at a briefing held today, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, Russia is ready to continue assisting in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"Let me recall that talks were held between the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan in Moscow on April 21st. Today, a meeting will take place between the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia. The discussions will focus on ensuring peace, stability, and security in the South Caucasus region," the Russian MFA spokesperson underlined.
