Russia supports the joint decision of Azerbaijan and Armenia to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group, said the Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, APA reports, citing RBC.
According to him, the OSCE Minsk Group is planned to be completely dissolved by December 2025: "This is about terminating the work of three institutions - the Minsk Group, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office and the High-Level Planning Group."
Lukashevich noted that, taking into account the position of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the inexpediency of maintaining the Minsk Group, they see no reason to prevent its dissolution.
It should be noted that, according to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, a decision on the dissolution of the Minsk Group is expected to be adopted on September 1. The organization stated that a draft decision on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group on September 1 has been submitted to the participating states for approval.
