“A global strategy is needed to combat Islamophobia,” said Waqar Azmi, the founder and chairman of the “Remembering Srebrenica” NGO from UK, at the panel titled “Multiculturalism, Islam, and Clash of Civilizations Theory: Rethinking Islamophobia” within the framework of the international scientific conference “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku, APA reports.
The representative from Britain said that a global strategy is needed for the combat against Islamophobia because it’s a global problem. He added that Azerbaijan mobilizes its resources in the combat against Islamophobia and joins the global strategy.
