For this, they must turn to us,” Hikmat Hajiyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung, in response to a question about whether Baku could be a platform for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, APA reports.
“Baku is already the diplomatic capital of the entire Caspian region. Negotiations between Türkiye and Israel took place here. Discussions between Syria and Israel were also held in Baku. Russia and the United States also held strategic negotiations on missile defense in Baku. Other diplomatic events have been held in Baku recently. We are ready to accept everyone, but we cannot force anyone to do so. For this, they must turn to us.”
